Bobcat Fire Update 9.17.20 8:47 PM

Good evening, Keppel Families. We are aware of the effect of the wildfires in our local area. In order to maintain instructional continuity, tomorrow will be a normal instructional day for students via online distance learning as usual. The RISE program will not be open for students tomorrow due to the fluid nature of the fires and the potential of needing to abruptly close a school should circumstances change that would make us need to close a school. Families who would normally pick up breakfast/lunch at Pearblossom may pick up meals at any other school location within the Keppel Union School District. Our district office will be closed tomorrow and our staff will pick up telephone calls from another location within the district. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher or the school’s principal. Please continue to monitor local news and the social media channel https://lacounty.gov/emergency for further details. The number to the Red Cross is 800-675-5799 for information related to shelters. Please note, the Temporary Evacuation Site is available at Palmdale High School. The safety and wellbeing of our students, their families, and our staff is always our top priority. Our hearts are with our families impacted by the fires.

Buenas noches, familias Keppel.
