Vice Principal J.E. Malave

Greetings Alpine Elementary "Bobcats"!

My name is Mr. José E. Malavé and I am very happy to be your NEW and FIRST Vice Principal at Alpine Elementary.  As a new member of the Keppel Union School District, my goal is to provide you with a safe place for you to learn and to be a positive asset to all stakeholders in our school, our district, and to the community.

I have been working in education for more than 20 years both as a classroom teacher and as a school administrator.  I was a cadet at Norwich University, The Military College of Vermont and have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Masters of Arts degree in School Administration from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.  In addition, I proudly served as an English teacher in Puerto Rico and as a dedicated educator and assistant principal in the William S. Hart Union High School District in Santa Clarita, California.

In addition, I received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps after serving on active duty and accomplishing two tours of duty during the Persian Gulf War with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (I MEF).

I am fully bilingual in English & Spanish.  During my free time, I referee soccer games with the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO Region 677) and enjoy quality family time at home with my wife and with my two daughters.  Do not hesitate to stop by my office.  My doors will always be opened for you.  My motto is simple: "Be kind, be responsible, and be the best you can be. The choice is yours".

Please feel free to contact me at (661) 994-3221 ext. 136 or email me at at any time.  "GO BOBCATS!"
